For persons interested in purchasing a Desktop PC, there are many options, since desktops have many components. A person can choose to either buy a PC package from a PC retailer, or purchase individual components to get a more personalized PC. The latter option is particularly suited for persons who are on a Low end Budget, but do not want a low-powered, all-round PC. There are many Organizations that manufacture and sell Desktop PCs, of which Hewlett Packard (HP) pc is the best. They offer potential customers with a wide range of expertly made PC systems, and classify each PC into categories to help persons choose the PC they would like to buy.
When buying a Desktop or purchasing parts to compile one, the important components that a customer should keep in mind are:
CPU (Central Processing Unit) – It is important to take very much consideration when buying a Processor, as it is basically the brain of your PC. Older chips, such as the Sempron, Athlon and Pentium 4s have become obsolete, so it is important to research on the newer Processing Units, such as the AMD Phenom, or the Intel i7.
Motherboard – This is the chip that basically houses all of the components, and every chip and peripheral device is connected to this Silicon board. Most motherboards will be fine, but if you really want a top notch motherboard, I would recommend the company Micro Star International (MSI) or Gigabyte, especially to gamers.
Hard Disk – A person needs to express their preference, be it to have a large space to store information in, or to save some bucks and practice a minimalistic PC usage. Persons who use their PCs for entertainment will need a larger amount of hard disk space, while a person who casually surfs the net can afford to have fewer gigabytes of space.
Optical Drives (CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray) – Since many PCs today come with an integrated DVD player and burner, it will not be a problem for the casual user. But persons who want to experience a fully entertaining multimedia package may opt for Blu-ray technology.
Video Cards – Many persons can suffice using the integrated graphics in a desktop PC, but for persons who wish to game and to entertain, higher performance video cards are needed. I would recommend a Direct X 11 card with about 1 gigabyte of memory for these persons.
Monitors – Last but not least, the monitor is a very important choice, especially for persons who want to see what they are doing on their PC. There are two main options, CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and LCD (Liquid Chrystal Display). LCDs are preferred because of the small size and energy footprint, but the price is very high compared to CRT. This is why persons on a budget would prefer to buy a CRT over a LCD monitor.
If you are building a PC by yourself, I would personally recommend to the Newegg Company to purchase parts, but for an assembly line PC, I would recommend Lenovo and Gateway.
